Survivor returns to the South Pacific in its fourth-season opener with the 16 newest castaways arriving via tugboat on the island of Nuku Hiva, the largest of the Marquesas off the coast of Tahiti. Dropped off two miles from their respective camps, the two tribes -- Rotu and Maramu -- acclimate themselves to their strange new surroundings. It isn't long before both tribes have gathered together their meager supplies, which this time around do not include such niceties as food, water, or matches. And it takes only the requisite three days for the first castaway -- a member of the Maraamu tribe -- to be voted off the island.
