Bass guitar wizard Victor Wooten demonstrates some of the techniques that have gained him recognition as one of the masters of the instrument. The program includes both detailed instruction and excerpts from some of Wooten's live performances. Techniques such as chording, slapping, tapping, and grooving for solo playing are covered in detail. Wooten also gives advice to the student player on ways to improve one's improvisational skills, which are so often part of the bass idiom.
