Marco and Arturo (Massimiliano Franciosa and Angelo Sorino) are stars among the young people in their small Italian town. The two friends are hosts of a radio show for other young people in the area, and even though it only comes on late at night, they have become celebrities of a sort. However, when the station owner tries to cash in on their celebrity, the two quit. That's when the reality of their situation hits: they are fairly ordinary guys in an ordinary town and there's nothing else in the way of a career which is near to home and which is likely to excite or challenge them.
