Executive Producer Casper Van Dien teams with Appleseed director Shinji Aramaki for this state-of-the-art CGI sequel that find the bugs threatening to hit mankind on their home turf. The bugs have invaded a Federation outpost, and as the terrified survivors prepare for evacuation, two starships prepare to launch an explosive counter-attack. When one of the ships suddenly deserts the other and cuts off all contact, the troopers attempt a daring rescue and discover that the bugs have set their sights on planet Earth.
