An Italian immigrant to Switzerland tells of the harsh conditions Italian "guest workers" suffer under. The story concerns a father who comes to work in Switzerland and brings his young son along. He discovers that his son will soon be deported because the boy does not have a work permit, even though he has no intention of working and only wishes to be with his father. He further discovers a whole network of immigrant families who hide and virtually imprison their children at home to avoid having to send them back to Italy.
