Synopsis by Jason Buchanan

A young Jew from an anti-Semitic neighborhood summons the courage to pursue his dream of becoming a filmmaker after his fearless cousin comes to town, and teaches him the meaning of self respect. When Jake (David Julian Hirsh) was just a boy, every decision he made was dictated by fear. That all changed when Joey (Jacob Tierney) shows up, and displays great bravery in the face of danger. Years later Jake has become a prolific film director, and life is looking good. When a sudden scandal threatens to sink his career, Jake prepares to use the lessons learned from his cousin, and fight back with everything he's got. Based on the best-selling book by author Mordecai Richler.
