Arrivederci amore, ciao director Michele Soavi steps back behind the camera to tell the tale of Francesco Bernardone in a film shot at the actual locations where the patron saint of animals walked and starring Raoul Bova and Erica Blanc. Born the son of a cloth merchant in 12th Century Italy, the pious young man spent his youth as a soldier for Pope Innocent III before the voice of God commanded him to forsake the material world and devote himself to a higher calling.
