Synopsis by Clarke Fountain
In 1968, a curious set of circumstances puzzled and delighted onlookers in the West, as key members of the Czechoslovakian puppet government resigned and reshuffled leadership roles in order to attempt to create a more humane form of government. This attempt, known as "the Prague Spring," was quickly squelched by the still-powerful Soviet empire. This documentary interviews the key figures in that brief renaissance of freedom, and should prove to be a boon to historians everywhere.
