Synopsis by Dan Pavlides

A son loses a job at his father's business when he allows his passion for soccer and horse racing to overshadow his responsibilities. Will Blunt then takes a job as a stable boy to help train the horse Captain Cuttle for the big race. He puts money down on the race and the big soccer match. Phillip Hardy is his enemy and rival for the affections of Eileen Grimshaw. He sets up Will to take the fall for a robbery at his former place of employment and threatens to send Will to jail unless Eileen agrees to marry him. Will chases Phillip when he tries to escape by jumping from a bridge onto a barge. John Stuart, Lillian Douglas, Douglas Munro, and Humbertson Wright star in this comedy drama.
