Dinosaur fans of all ages will find many topics of interest in Spirit of America: Dinosaurs -- Thunder Lizards. The program features interviews with two dinosaur authorities -- Dr. Robert Bakker and Dr. Richard Stucky -- who discuss why Colorado is such a special place when it comes to the study of the prehistoric creatures. In addition, there is a visit with James Gurney, who wrote and illustrated the popular book Dinotopia. Gurney talks about the events that inspired his story. The tracks and fossils of dinosaurs are shown, and dinosaur stamps and archeological sites can be seen.
