Coffee giant Starbucks suffers some satiric slings from the South Park crew in this episode. Just as Harbucks moves into town, Mr. Garrison assigns the kids to research current events. Eric, Kenny, Kyle, and Stan (along with Tweek, whose dad owns the local non-Harbucks coffee shop) choose to write about the gnomes who steal Tweek's underwear. When the boys hand in an anti-big business screed written by Tweek's father, the town revolts against Harbucks. Before all is said and done, the underwear gnomes change the town's opinion. "Gnomes" first aired June 16, 1998, on Comedy Central.
