Kyosuke Date is a young man on a journey looking for answers. He wants to know why his own mother stabbed him and left him for dead in a cathedral, why she later killed herself, and why he has the mutant powers enabling him to transform into an alter ego called SoulTaker. He will have help on his mission but the answers may be more than he really wanted to know as the mega-corporation called the Kirihara Group seems to lurk in the background of everything he investigates.
