A mild-mannered accountant assumes the persona of a popular television superhero after trying on a costume and thwarting a robbery in this warm-hearted family comedy. Dennis Sullivan (Christopher Gorham) is an accountant assigned to handle the assets and liabilities of a young widow whose son grew obsessed with "Man America" after losing his father. After forming a bond with the young boy, Dennis ventures into a local costume shop and donning the superhero's patriotic suit. But when a knife-wielding thief bursts in and "Man America" saves the day, Dennis embraces his newfound role as a hero of the people.
