Synopsis by Clare Perez-Izaguirre Lopez
History is retold with a fictional twist in this war drama directed by and starring Konstantin Khabenskiy. Set in Sobibor, a Nazi death camp in eastern Poland, the narrative centers on the uprising of the Sobibor prisoners led by Alexander Pechersky (Konstantin Khabenskiy), organized in a matter of weeks during the horrors of World War II. With this surprise uprising carrying some weight, Sasha and many of the 550 other prisoners are able to kill some Ukrainian guards as well as SS soldiers, and while there are casualties, fatalities and captures, some even manage to escape.
