Synopsis by Nathan Southern
Working in conjunction with the BBC, The Royal Opera House in Covent Garden, London mounted this production of Pyotr Illych Tchaikovsky's ballet Sleeping Beauty, starring Alina Cojucaru as Princess Aurora, Federico Bonelli as Prince Florimund and Marianela Nunez as The Lilac Fairy, all of The Royal Ballet. Marius Petipa choreographed; The Orchestra of the Royal Opera House, under the baton of Valeriy Ovsyanikov, provides musical accompaniment.
