Synopsis by Hal Erickson
"Pants" means "underwear" to most British audiences, indication enough that the title of this ITV sketch-comedy series was not as harmless as it seemed to be. On each episode, the series' six regular performers (among them Simon Pegg and Jessica Stevenson, here beginning their long and fruitful professional collaboration) indulged in a variety of offbeat and borderline dirty characterizations. Recurring features included "Buckinghamshire Jones," which one assumes was funnier than the name. Written in part by the prolific team of West and Barclay, Six Pairs of Pants was telecast in 1995.
