Synopsis by Nathan Southern
None of the world's cities possess pluralistic religious associations on the level of Jerusalem, Israel. It continues to serve as a focal point for three monotheistic faiths - Christianity, Islam and Judaism, each of which wants to lay claim to the city. As a result, Jerusalem has been torn apart by bloodshed for well over 2,000 years. As directed by Georg Graffe, this program profiles the city and illustrates how its ties to several spiritual traditions still constitute a double-edged sword.
