Synopsis by Nathan Southern

A psychological drama reportedly inspired by Roman Polanski's acclaimed 1994 Death and the Maiden (which, in turn, was adapted from Ariel Dorfman's play), Siskayaan concerns Ayesha, a young housewife still traumatized and scarred by the brutal repeated rapes she was forced to endure at the hands of a doctor following the notorious Gujarat riots. By some small miracle, she happens upon a man whom she immediately identifies as her aggressor, Dr. Vishwas (Sonu Sood) - and attempts to simultaneously wreak vengeance on him, and draw sympathy from her slightly incredulous husband, Javed (Sachin Khedekar). Meanwhile, questions persist about the viability of Dr. Vishwas's involvement in the events - and the possibility lingers that Avesha may be fingering the wrong man.
