A wealthy, carefree divorcé discovers that he's the father of a 12-year-old boy, who is naturally wise beyond his years. Rick Schroder, who spent the years following 'Silver Spoons' living down the teen idol label that came with playing 'The Rickster,' went on to major roles in 1989's 'Lonesome Dove' and on 'NYPD Blue' (as Det. Danny Sorenson).
