Created by Evelyn Frazer, the now-obscure BBC drama series Silent Evidence detailed the exploits of a diligent police pathologist. Eminent British stage actor Basil Sydney, best known to American filmgoers for his portrayal of King Claudius in Olivier's film version of Hamlet (1948), starred as forensic specialist Dr. Martin Westlake. On each of the series' 50-minute episodes, Dr. Westlake worked hand in glove with Detective Superintendent Evans (Conrad Phillips) to solve a baffling murder. Silent Evidence was broadcast in 1962.
