Synopsis by Hal Erickson

Should a Woman Divorce? never quite gets around to answering its own question. Lea Leland stars as a wife and mother who walks out on her husband and kids when lured to the Big City by a handsome and prominent doctor. When Leland's son falls seriously ill, her husband comes to the doctor for help. While anxiously awaiting the prognosis, the husband begs Leland to return to him, but she refuses to give him answer. Meanwhile, her physician paramour, terrified that he might lose her, begins to drink heavily, ruining his career and, ultimately, his life. Once the doctor has cashed in his chips, there is nothing for the heroine to do but return to her family. Not exactly high-kickin' entertainment, is it? The trade magazine Variety suggested cynically that the producers of the film would be advised to have a fast car ready once the public realized how bad the picture really was.
