Synopsis by Dan Pavlides

This Israeli government-sponsored documentary chronicles the Six Day War. Taken from Arab and Israeli film footage, the decidedly pro-Israeli feature interviews Defense Minister Moshe Dayan, Prime Minister Levi Eshkol and others directly responsible for meeting the challenge of the invading Arabs. Military bases in Egypt are shown preparing for what they hope will be the total destruction of their Jewish enemies. The film was dubbed into several languages for worldwide release. The producers received some criticism for the film's 40 minutes of battle scenes which were "re-created" by the original troops. All other film footage is the real deal. This war gave the Israeli Army a reputation as one of the most dedicated, well-trained and patriotic forces in the world.
