Synopsis by Eleanor Mannikka
Malak Khazai wrote and directed this film about a brother and sister whose mother has died and before they have adjusted to their loss, their father marries a woman who torments them -- causing their escape to the desert to look for a mythical Shangri-la. The siblings are given an injunction by a whirling dervish that they should never drink from a certain spring, and when the little boy drinks anyway, he is turned into a fawn. Soon he is the target for a prince out hunting, but his sister saves his life -- and starts the two off on their next adventure.
