This amiable gently paced comedy centers on the adventures of a really laid-back, ambitionless Austin guitarist who leaves his comfortable slow-lane life for New York City just to please his girl friend. Unfortunately, she has to fight to get him up there. He then misses the flight and by the time he finally arrives in the Big Apple, she has had enough and gives him the boot. That night, he wanders about, gets drunk and hooks up with a streetwalker. Meanwhile, his girl friend finds that New York isn't nearly as interesting as she'd hoped. Eventually the young lovers reconcile and hit the happy trail homeward.
