Synopsis by Sarah Welsh
In 1999, during its 30th season on the air, Sesame Street introduced a new 15-minute segment hosted by the fuzzy red hero Elmo. These "Elmo's World" segments air at the tail end of each show, focusing on one theme familiar to small children (ages 3-6). Designed to snare kids' waning attention at the end of a long Sesame Street program, "Elmo's World" soon took off as entertainment of its own, with original songs and simple educational content. In this compilation of three segments, Elmo, Dorothy the pet goldfish, and Mister Noodle investigate human, animal, and Muppet babies, dogs, and life on a farm.
