Synopsis by Hal Erickson

Serments (Oaths) is set in a mythical European country at the height of a revolution. The protagonists are two young aristocrats, one an officer in the royal army and the other a rebel leader. Captured by the regular army, the rebel is sentenced to be shot, said sentence to be carried out by his own brother. But the latter allows the rebel to escape for one last visit with their mother, with the understanding that he'll return to be shot like a gentleman the next morning. The rebel's sweetheart tries to prevent him from keeping his rendezvous with destiny, but he's taken an oath, so he returns at the appointed execution time. With only a few minutes left, the scriptwriters scramble to contrive a happy ending out of all this.
