Synopsis by Matthew Tobey

When they get jobs as stand-ins on All My Children, Kramer tries to convince Mickey to start wearing lifts so the young actor he stands in for doesn't outgrow him. Meanwhile, despite his best efforts Jerry is unable to get a laugh out of a hospitalized friend, George decides to stay with a woman he'd planned to break up with just because he heard she was going to break up with him, and Elaine gets more than she bargained for while out on a date with a friend of Jerry's. W. Earl Brown of There's Something About Mary guest stars along with Danny Woodburn and Debbie Lee Carrington. Originally airing February 24, 1994, "The Stand-In" was the 16th episode of the show's fifth season.
