While riding in separate subway cars and headed for different destinations, each of the show's four principle characters has an unexpected experience. First, Jerry falls asleep and awakens to find a completely naked man sitting across the aisle from him. George, on the other hand, risks missing a job interview after becoming infatuated with a female passenger. Meanwhile, Kramer overhears an inside tip on a horse race while on his way to pay his excessive parking tickets, and Elaine finds herself stuck in a tunnel while she tries to make it to a lesbian wedding in which she is to be the "best man." Ernie Sabella of Disney's The Lion King guest stars as the naked man. Originally airing January 8, 1992, "The Subway" was the 13th episode of the show's third season.
