Synopsis by Rose of Sharon Winter

This BBC documentary is the final edition of a three-volume series that highlights the role that physics and new technologies played in World War II. The conflict, which Winston Churchill dubbed "The Wizard War," was in large part decided by scientific advancements that had never been used before in the history of warfare. This volume contains two episodes: "Deadly Waves," relating the story of Germany's magnetic mines; and "Still Secret," which examines the ingenious code breakers, and the British intelligence project known as "Enigma."
