Synopsis by Hans J. Wollstein
Billing himself Cliff Smith, poverty row director Clifford S. Smith both directed and starred in this very minor silent action melodrama produced by veteran character actor Horace B. Carpenter. Smith played Tom Stephens, the owner of a strip of oil-rich lands. A villain conspires to take over the property by driving a wedge between Tom and his fiancée, neighboring rancher Jane Wheeler (Eileen Sedgwick). Plotting to blow up an oil well in the presence of Jane, the villain is finally stopped by the heroic Tom.
