Synopsis by Hal Erickson

One of the few westerns to emanate from the Goldwyn studio, Sandy Burke of the U-Bar-U starred Louis Bennison as the eponymous hero. Mistaken for a bandit, Sandy Burke (Bennison) is held at gunpoint by Molly (Virginia Lee), the sheriff's daughter. Molly hopes to collect a huge reward, and thereby pay off the mortgage on a widow's home. Inasmuch as he, too, is concerned with the widow's welfare, Sandy smilingly plays along with Molly, even allowing himself to be locked up in a makeshift jail from which he could otherwise easily escape. Later on, he plays his "role" to the hilt, robbing a mail coach and parlaying his ill-gotten gains into a tidy nest-egg for the widow -- then thoughtfully returning the cash that he's stolen. In the meantime, the real bandit kidnaps Molly, whereupon the fun-and-games cease and Sandy reveals himself as the hero that we always knew him to be.
