Synopsis by Violet LeVoit
When her father (Hitham Omari) takes a second wife, a teenage Bedouin woman (Lamis Ammar) living with her insular family in Israel's Negev desert decides to court a suitor of her own choosing (Jalal Masrwa). Her unprecedented actions expose the frustrations of both her and her mother (Ruba Blal-Asfour), who remain trapped in a patriarchal society that limits their autonomy.
