Synopsis by Nathan Southern
The guided travel release Rudy Maxa: Europe to the Max: Hidden Treasures - Treasures Outside London finds tour guide extraordinaire Maxa carrying viewers on a tour of his favorite haunts in the UK. The program begins with the assumption that most tourists gravitate naturally to London; Maxa therefore restricts his focus to sites and geographic regions that lie beyond the city of Big Ben. His areas of emphasis include: Dublin - with trips to Glendalough, Malahide Castle, the Hill of Tara and the Folk Park in Northern Ireland; the West Coast of Ireland - where Maxa shops for crystal in local shops and explores an ancient fort on the Aran Islands, then introduces viewers to such locales as Bunratty Castle (for a medieval banquet) and the Dingle Peninsula; Bath and Wales; and Scotland, where Maxa takes viewers on a tour of Edinburgh Castle and Stirling's famous battlefields - the stomping ground of Sir William Wallace.
