Synopsis by Hal Erickson

"Rough and Ready" Bill Stratton (William Farnum) heads for the Klondike when his sweetheart Evelyn Durant (Violet Palmer). gives him the ozone. Quickly striking it rich, Stratton becomes an important and influential figure in the Frozen North. Meanwhile, Evelyn falls upon hard times when her wealthy mine-owner dad goes bust. Willing to forgive and forget, Stratton helps the old man get back on his feet, which rekindles the spark of affection between hero and heroine. A standard-issue William Farnum vehicle, Rough and Ready was co-written by Edward Sedgwick, a past and future master of fast-moving comedies and actioners.
