Synopsis by Hans J. Wollstein

Produced by William Steiner's New Cal Productions, this minor silent western starred Pete Morrison as Jim Warren, a Texas Ranger taking the blame for a crime committed by his own brother. The weakling brother had come under the influence of villainous gambler Jack Cope (Jim Corey), who forced him to steal from his own father. Years later, Jim's foster-sister Beth (Peggy Montgomery) recognizes Cope, who now runs a trading post. To keep her quiet, Cope kidnaps the girl but is tracked down by Jim. Recovering the stolen money, Jim and Beth are free to marry. Adding a bit of comedy relief to this western was Martin Turner, an African-American whose stereotypical mugging was a precursor to that of such later comedians as Stepin Fetchit, Willie Best, and Mantan Moreland.
