Bowie and Musica flee into the night, trying to escape Nova Satori and the military police after Zor's betrayal. Back at the barracks, Nova orders the 15th to form a search party to find the two runaways. On the Robotech Masters' ship, the dwindling protoculture supply and ailing populace force the Masters to take an extreme course of action. They plan to direct all their attention to Earth in a bid to reclaim the protoculture factory from the remains of the SDF-1 -- even if they have to exterminate every human being on Earth to do it. Meanwhile, Supreme Commander Leonard is making similar plans, ordering his men to ready their forces to wipe out the Robotech Masters' fleet once and for all, or die trying. On Earth, Bowie is leading Musica to where they'd seen the mysterious flowers, which he suspects are the Invid Flowers of Life. Dana and her search party scour the area nearby, with Nova on their tail. Unknown to them all, Zor is tailing them all -- and the stage is set for a discovery that will shock them all.
