Synopsis by Janiss Garza
Hafsa, a beautiful Arab girl (Lenore Ulrich), wants the right to choose her own mate, instead of the husband picked out by her father, Malik (Herschel Mayall). Naturally, the man she falls in love with is unacceptable, since he's an American. However, the young man, Gordon Roberts (Colin Chase), manages to meet her secretly. But he is discovered and sold into slavery. Karan, a Bedouin chief that Roberts once saved (Alfred Vosburgh), gets him out of that fix. Hafsa winds up being sold at auction as a dancing girl, and Roberts bids for her, but an old sheik offers more money and gets her. Finally Hafsa's father reappears on the scene. At the urging of her mother, he has come around to the girl's wishes, and the young couple are united for good. The photography may have been good for its day, but this story was pure hokum.
