Synopsis by Janiss Garza

Louis Bennison is Al Boyd, a western cattle king. He is taken with Betty Swiftmore (Ormi Hawley), the daughter of the head of the Chicago packing trust. She's not so impressed with him, though, and prefers a slick easterner by the name of Harrison Stevens (Henry Mortimer). She agrees to marry Boyd, however, because it will save her father from ruin. On his way back east to marry Betty, Al takes charge of a baby when its mother temporarily gets off the train. When the train leaves without her, she panics and calls him a kidnapper. Stevens uses this incident to get Al tangled up with some police officers on his way to get married. He shows up at the church a little bedraggled, having to fight off the officers, but he manages to go through with the ceremony. After a honeymoon, during which Betty won't let Al come near her, Stevens makes another try for his old flame. He has a letter from the mother on the train, thanking Al for his help with the baby. He shows it to Betty, but purposely misinterprets its meaning, then gets her to agree to run off with him. He takes her to a lonely cabin where he tries to violate her. Luckily, Al has followed them and he saves Betty, who now realizes that she cares for her husband after all.
