Like the first anthology series, this Italian documentary is comprised of eight interviews with some of Italy's best directors. This version features those who specialize in specific genres. They include exploitation filmmaker turned notorious pornographer Joe D'Amato (known for his ribald and graphic Roman costume epics) and money-loving"B" movie director Riccardo Freda. Others interviewed include Ermanno Olmi, Gillo Pontecorvo, Marco Bellocchio, Peter del Monte, Altberto Lattuada and Francesco Maselli.
