An up and coming wake-boarder contends with the death of her mother while teaching a curious snowboarder the secret to staying afloat in this tender romantic drama from director Jennifer Akana-Sturla (Kamea). When it comes to the local wake-boarding scene, Jessica Evans is a true star. But Jessica has yet to find her place in the adult world, and when her mother dies, her overprotective father begins to withdraw emotionally. But just as Jessica's life is turned upside down, a professional snowboarder shows up on her doorstep asking for wake-boarding lessons. There's a definite attraction between the two, though with the upcoming tournament drawing near Jessica realizes that she needs to remain focused on winning. Now, as Jessica ponders the prospect of competing against the local boys, she realizes that her greatest obstacle is her own fear of failure.
