Synopsis by Hal Erickson
Rickshaw Boy is not to be confused with the Toshiro Mifune/Hiroshi Inagaki classic Rickshaw Man -- as a few minutes' viewing will prove beyond doubt. The titular boy is a harmless-looking, even-tempered lad. As such he becomes a convenient target for every bully who crosses his path. That's when the boy transforms into a chopping and kicking karate champ, battling the baddies on behalf of justice. Originally titled Rikisha Kuri, Rickshaw Boy gives evidence of being completed several years before its US release in 1980.
