Synopsis by Clarke Fountain
This documentary about reggae music went almost unnoticed when it was first released. Since then, reggae has become very well known outside the Caribbean black community. The film includes footage of the extreme poverty of the West Indies, and makes a case for reggae's radical roots. Interviews with disk jockey Mike Raven and producer Graham Goodall review the history and development of this musical style. However, the highlights of the movie are the performances at a reggae festival in Wembley, England.
