Produced by the prolific Lester F. Scott, Jr., this minor Buffalo Bill, Jr. oater was one of an endless stream of B-Westerns helmed by Richard Thorpe years before he became a trusted house director at MGM. Based on the 1924 magazine story Rattler Rock by Ralph Cummins, Rarin' to Go (Scott loved snappy titles) told the not too unusual tale of a young cowboy who uncovers a plot to defraud his employer. There is the ubiquitous crooked ranch foreman (Olin Francis). Bill, Jr.'s attraction to his comely neighbor (Dorothy Woods) puts a stop to an ancient range feud over water irrigation.
