Synopsis by Hans J. Wollstein

The third of four Al Hoxie Westerns produced by poverty row entrepreneur William Pizor, this film was directed by Robert J. Horner, the almost legendary one-legged, one-eyed Edward D. Wood, Jr. of the silent era. Horner's little sagebrush thrillers played in the hinterlands only and were made for what looked like pennies. Like his older, more famous half-brother, Jack Hoxie, Al looked good on a horse and happily left the acting chores to his supporting casts. The Ranger's Oath was scripted by another B-Western regular, L.V. Jefferson.
