Synopsis by Mark Deming
As a founding member of The Guess Who, leader of Bachman-Turner Overdrive, and later as a solo artist, Randy Bachman is one of the most important artists in the history of Canadian rock n' roll, and this documentary offers a richly detailed look at his long and remarkable career. Randy Bachman: Every Song Tells A Story is centered around footage from a special concert recorded at the Vancouver East Cultural Centre, in which Bachman plays a selection of chart hits and personal favorites; along the way, Bachman also shares a look at footage from his early days, rare photos and memorobilia, and other material drawn from the guitarist's personal archives. Songs include "You Ain't Seen Nothin; Yet", "Taking Care of Business", "Let It Ride", "These Eyes", "American Woman", "No Sugar Tonight", and many more.
