Synopsis by Josh Ralske

Michael (Hal Sparks) is extremely distraught when his comic book hero, Captain Astro, dies of a deadly virus. He's certain the publishers killed off the character because of rumors that Astro was gay. Lindsay (Thea Gill) and Mel (Michelle Clunie) argue about the cost of their upcoming wedding, and Mel calls Lindsay a spoiled rich girl. When Lindsay's mother refuses to let her wear her grandmother's wedding dress, the couple go looking for the dress themselves, and uncover a surprising secret in the family attic. Emmett (Peter Paige) is getting along great with George (Bruce Gray), despite -- or perhaps partly because of -- their age difference, and brings the older gentleman to Babylon to meet the gang. George later returns the favor by taking Emmett to a production of Aida, where they have an awkward run-in with George's estranged wife, Virginia (Patricia Gage). Deb (Sharon Gless) finds a young man's dead body in a dumpster behind the diner. Deb chastises the detective assigned to the case, Horvath (Peter MacNeill), for his uncaring, insensitive attitude about the loss of life, and she's even more upset when the gang makes callous jokes about the murder and act as though nothing's happened.
