Hosted by actress-turned-newscaster Andrea Thompson, this cable TV documentary detailed actual stories of psychics working hand in glove with law-enforcement officials to solve tough missing persons cases. Specifically, the special focused on Kay Rhea, a lifelong psychic, and Tim McFadden, a detective with the Fresno Police Department. Having collaborated professionally for 20 years, Rhea and McFadden are credited with solving scores of grim and baffling murder mysteries -- or at the very least, are given points for locating the bodies of the murder victims. Psychic Detectives gives unabashed credence to the powers of ESP, offering little screen time to those who might be skeptical about the efficacy of the proverbial "sixth sense."
