Synopsis by Jason Buchanan
Disappointed and dejected by her own prom experience, documentary filmmaker Hali Lee decided to return to her hometown of Kansas City and explore the mystique behind one of America's most celebrated coming-of-age rituals by following a group of teens as they prepared for the big night. As anticipation grows and the prom quickly draws near, each teen has his and her own idea of what makes the perfect night. Whether or not reality will live up to their mythic expectations won't be revealed until the tuxedos are returned, the limousines return to the garage, and the decorations stored away for another year.
