Synopsis by Cammila Collar

While the film Project A-Ko was released to theaters, its three sequels, which enjoyed just as much success over the years, were OVA releases that went straight to video. For this reason, the three episodes, "Plot of the Daitokuji Financial Group," "Cinderella Rhapsody," and "Final" comprise the Love and Robots OVA series, while the first film is considered to be separate. This series is now a staple in the realm of parody anime. It chronicles the adventures of superhero high-school girls, while lampooning titles such as Fist of the North Star as well as conventions of all types of anime, including hentai. While there is no actual sexually explicit content, the series was originally planned to be a hentai title before it was decided that it should be marked to a more mainstream audience, and so some racy content still slips by, hinting at the series' origins.
