In this strange fairy tale, a lonely duck is paddling through a pond in the magical walled city Kinkan-chou one day, dreaming of Mytho, the boy whom she is in love with. An old man notices her attention to the boy and magically turns Ahiru into a human girl. Now Ahiru is the waltzing Princess Tutu and has a chance at winning the heart of her prince -- but Ahiru knows that she can only win Mytho's heart if she can find its pieces and put them back together, and it won't be easy. Keeping up with the other students at the performing arts school they attend together is hard enough, but Mytho has an icy girlfriend who is a better dancer than Ahiru because she isn't learning how to walk without flippers! Can Ahiru unravel the mystery of healing Mytho's heart, and if she does, will she still be able to keep it?
